Life is a journey, and if you're going on a journey or trip; you'll want to make sure you have a map and some good directions.  TRUTH is many people go through life wandering from day to day, not knowing their purpose for living.  Well, God created you for His glory and He has a plan for your life but...

I have Bad News...  TRUTH is we have all sinned and disobeyed God with our words, thoughts and actions.  We sin because we have sinful hearts.  You only have to observe toddlers on a playground, to see the sinfulness of our hearts in action.  In Jeremiah 17:9 the Bible says "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it".  Because God is holy (pure, without sin), the punishment for the sin that we  commit is separation from God.  Sin cannot enter into God's presence.  This is a huge problem, because He created you and I for a relationship with Him!

But there's Good News... TRUTH is God loves you so much that He made a way for you enter into relationship with Him and be in heaven with Him one day!  He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross, there He took the punishment for your sin and my sin.  In John 3:16, Jesus (God's Son) said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." 

So you see, if you place your trust in Jesus, you will receive the gift of eternal life.  Now and when you die, instead of being separated from God (because of your sin); you will receive forgiveness for your sin and spend eternity with God in heaven.  When you trust Christ, God will set you free from the power of sin to live the abundant life, to love and enjoy him forever.  Those of us that have entered into this relationship through Jesus Christ are called ~ Christians.  As Christians we experience hardships and trials like everyone else, but we exhibit biblical hope in our daily journey.  If you would like to become a Christian *pray this prayer from your heart:

Dear God in heaven, I know I have disobeyed You.  I cannot get to heaven on my own.  But thank You for loving me and sending Your Son Jesus.  Thank you for helping me to realize that I need you.  I can't make it through life's journey on my own.  I believe Jesus died on the cross for me.  I believe that He came back to life.  I trust Jesus, and only Jesus, to take away my sin.  I will depend on the Holy Spirit to help me grow to be like Jesus, and  I will look forward to Jesus' return and my home in heaven.  Amen
